The Complete Single Mother

If you only read one book, it should be this. The Complete Single Mother by Andrea Engber and Leah Klungness (Adams Media; Avon, Massachusetts; 2006) has the power to change your outlook and more. Engber and her associate Klungness can take you thoughtfully and sympathetically through many of the emotional and financial pitfalls you encounter being a single mother. In my own experience of reading it, I went from feeling like a guilt-ridden aberration to a legitimate member of this planet. In it you might find the courage to try things you didn't have the heart for before.
