Trying to Make it till the End of the Week

Trying to Make it till the End of the Week ( Publish America; Baltimore; 2004) is a funny and useful book, particularly for those of us who may have become single mothers at a very young age. Writing in an earthy, voice-of-true-sisterhood style, Angela Belcher Epps gives practical, sage tips on things like eating on a shoe-string budget and - most funny - avoiding potentially crummy boyfriends. It's not a long book - you can read it in an hour - and then you'll probably feel like reading it again. I found it at my local library.
