Early Morning Companion

A moment occurs - a psychological moment - which may span weeks or even months, but which is often experienced as a particular moment in time - in which the...conflict seem[s] to unmesh, as gears unmesh, and the woman is released from the lockup that kept her immobilized. When this happens, all kinds of things become possible. There may be job changes, geographical moves, new relationships, creative pursuits not previously dreamt of.

I believe everything happens for a reason. I think there is a reason I stumbled across this site and this simple but powerful piece. After I read it I was struck with a moment of clarity and determination to be courageous enough to do what I need to do. I'm in a horribly negative and toxic relationship and although I know I need to leave I've felt so trapped. But I know that I hold the key to my own happiness. By "unlocking" myself from this awful relationship I will open the doors to new possibilities and happiness. By staying I am in essence creating my own prison in which there is no release date until I choose to make one. This has really made me think of life and how precious and short it is. Not to be taken for granted and no woman should ever sell themselves short and live in pain because they are afraid to venture into the unknown. I am going to free myself from the sadness and hopelessness I feel. I am finally going to leave him. I deserve so much more then a selfish man .

I am glad that this quote has helped you. I can not tell from your comment if you are married or have kids. If you do have kids, may I suggest you grab a copy of The Complete Single Mother before any other book? It can truly help. Your courageous thoughts will be noted and appreciated by all who visit here. Sending you best and most positive luck and wishes.
